Midterm tomorrow guys! Study hard!
OK guys, finish up the worksheet you got in class for homework tonight. If you are still struggling with fractions and percents check out some of the tools we used in class (and a few bonuses):
It’s good to always ask yourself what you know about math, like these two guys.
Don’t forget to get your homework done this weekend guys. Also remember the password for Monday.
Ok guys, don’t forget to finish up your classwork sheets for homework and complete the front and back of the second worksheet I handed out for homework. Your password for tomorrow is here. Remember, you can search the blog for concepts you may be having trouble with. You will find helpful videos and presentations, and if you have more questions log onto your starrt.archimedes accounts and email or chat with me at: jduffy@archimedesacademy.org.
This one is short and sweet 601. Solve it, and you will be the proud winner of 50 Duffy Bucks. Remember, your answer needs to be a one page essay explaining why you’re sure you are right.
Cathy has six pairs of black socks and six pairs of white socks in her drawer.
In complete darkness, and without looking, how many socks must she take from the drawer in order to be sure to get a pair that match?
You can peruse the store contents here guys. Check the sidebar on the right for your bank balance and a static version of the store.
Here is the last speech ever given by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a truly great man. Enjoy your Martin Luther King day 601, and please remember the legacy of Dr. King. We have some difficult days ahead.
Sorry for the long wait guys. I know you have ELA testing this week, so there is no additional homework. However, the HW I handed out last week is still due for those of you who did not get it in on Monday. Good luck on your test guys. Since we have some new dancers on ArchimedesTV (see the sidebar to the right) I thought I would share this video of some real old school dancers: the Nicholas Brothers (in Stormy Weather – 1943):
Finish up your test review packets for Monday. Remember, thanks to our reds you only need to complete either pages one and three or one and two.
Here are the worksheets if you need them (click on the links to view the worksheet):
